Meet Mark Carpenter
I'm the founder of Seas, Summits, & Skies Travel, based in Decatur, Alabama. Before becoming a travel advisor, I spent more than a decade as an educator and over twenty years working in educational publishing. Those experiences taught me the value of good research, clear explanations, and listening to what people actually need.
My own love of travel has taken me from Alaska's breathtaking coastline to Norway's fjords and historic communities in Europe. I especially enjoy the stories behind the places we visit, the people we meet along the way, and those moments that never quite fit into a rigid itinerary.
Today, I bring that same curiosity to helping others travel. I enjoy comparing ships and destinations, finding the details that matter, and making complicated decisions feel manageable. I also create travel content to share practical tips, firsthand observations, and ideas for future adventures.
Whether we're discussing accessibility needs, travel insurance, stateroom choices, or a group vacation, I want you to feel informed and comfortable asking questions. My goal isn't simply to book a trip. It's to help you feel confident about the journey ahead.
